先月はブログに掲載した患者さん以外にも一度に多くのインプラントを埋入しな
いといけない患者さんの手術が多かったです．今月は逆に1本の患者さんが多
いようです．この患者さんには下の奥歯に1本のインプラントを埋入しました．
一般的には下のインプラントの方が優しいというイメージがあるのですが、それは
大きな間違いです．確かにしたの顎の骨は硬く術者が未熟で、骨を削るときに少々
ぶれて大きな穴を開けてしまっても、なんとか骨にくっつきます．
ただし、下のほうには神経が通っている為、もし深く削りすきると神経を損傷させ
顎の神経を麻痺させてしまいます．そのためインプラント手術にある程度慣れて
いるオペレーターのにとっては上顎より下顎のほうが気をつかいます．
ましてしたの奥歯に一本だけ埋入するのは3000本以上埋入した私でも本当に
気を使います．先月続いた上顎複数埋入の手術の方がストレスは少なく感じ
ます．
ちなみにオペ時間は焼く10分でした．
もしかかりつけの先生が下の奥歯の手術は簡単とおっしゃられていたら、
怖さを知らないだけかも知れません．
